Challenge #1 - Nancy Drew

Nancy Drew is a fictional character, smart, stylish and very nosy! She lives in a small town, is renowned for her detective skills and solves many extravagant mysteries. Wherever she goes she finds danger, adventure, excitement and fun.

Your challenge this week is to create a layout inspired by Nancy Drew! It can be anything you want, let your creativity run wild!
Do you know a child who loves reading the Nancy Drew books? Is there an unsolved mystery in your home? Perhaps there is a need for an investigation around a missing item? Have you been on an adventure recently? Have you spotted evidence of a crime? Who ate the last cookie from the cookie jar?

Here's what our DT came up with:

Nancy

Crystal

Nilsa

Karry

Telah

Sarah

Deadline for your creations Midnight on Saturday 11th October - dont forget to link to this post in the comments box or email your layout to gh26@sky.com to ensure your points get counted.

  • Each layout submitted will be worth 10 points towards your individual scores.
  • There will be a "secret item" known only to the DT - if this item is used on your layout you will receive 2 bonus points for each time it is used.
In addition, as this is our very first challenge - There will be a one-off bonus prize of a Making Memories - Fa La La Collection 12x12 page kit. It includes:

Two sheets of solid red 12” x 12” paper
Two sheets of green snowflake 12” x 12” paper
Two sheets of Poinsettia stripe 12” x 12” paper
57 Christmas word stickers
81 alphabet stickers
16 journaling die-cuts
Eight Poinsettia blossoms, four leaves and four brads

The DT will vote on and choose the most creative layout submitted for this challenge and that person will win the making memories prize (regardless of points)

So, what are you waiting for..... get scrapping! :)

Here is mine!
http://www.scrapbook.com/galleries/76487/view/1756677/-1/0/1.html

My journaling is on the back. My journaling reads:

I have been buying big bags of marshmallows for the kids to have smores. Well everytime we would go get all the stuff so we can get the fire started and sticks together, the bag is GONE! So needless to say the kids are upset. So my kids and dh tells me that I must of forgot them. Im thinking maybe I have. Well the other day I saw the bag on my kitchen and formal dinning room floor. This was as I was coming in from the garage scrapping. Well I had my camera (of course) and got on the floor to take the photo. I left it there to try and see who had them. (I think dh and the kids were playing a trick on me) Well I upload photos and head back to the garage to scrap more. As I was getting ready to come and upload more I saw the marshmallow MONSTER! The MONSTER was my tummy height, long dark brown/black hair, big beautiful eyes with a big grins saying "IM SORRY MOMMY". My dd was hiding them in her dresser drawer. She had 2 bags. Its her drawer that she puts her dress-up clothes in. I dont go in that one. Now its a must!

This layout is about a title that could be one of Nancy Drew's books. About my youngest grandson - almost two.
