Challenge 30 - Pink and Orange

Isnt it amazing that we are almost in June already? I love the summer and so this week the DT have created a bit of a summer themed challenge for you. This week we would like you to create a layout or card using the colours orange and pink. These colours look great together and really invoke feelings of summer - you might even want to use this photo as inspiration:

This week we have another amazing prize up for grabs. This fun summer stack of DCWV papers, 2 lots of clear stamps and a corner punch! Mary was also responsible for running round 2 of scrap whispers way back in 2007.

Design Team Call

Hi everyone, Sorry that the big reveal has been delayed slightly - it should be up anytime soon! I can feel the anticipation rising! :) In the meantime you can always come and chat with us in the forums to pass some time!

I do however have some news to share with you all and rather than waiting I thought I would post it now. It’s with regret that I announce today that Crystal will be leaving the scrap whisper Design Team for pastures new. She joined us in October 08 and has inspired and motivated many of you since then with her gorgeous layouts and encouraging words. She will certainly be missed by all of us on the design team and we wish her every success in her scrapbooking and of course the forthcoming birth of her second son. You can wish her well by leaving comments on her blog , in the forum or on this post. She will of course be sticking around in the forum still and will participate in some challenges when time allows.

Sadness put aside, this means that we have an opening on our Design Team!

We are looking for someone creative, who would like the opportunity to get to know us better and inspire others with their work. You can find out more about our call here. The deadline for submissions is 12th June. We look forward to hearing from you all.

Challenge 29 - Special Places

Challenge #29 is going to be our last challenge for a couple of weeks! Very soon we have the big scrap whisper reveal, I'm so excited to see what you all created. Watch this space!

If you could shut your eyes and imagine yourself in your favourite place where would that be. Either from your perspective or a family members. Kids might want to be in an icecream parlour; you might love that quiet spot by the lake; maybe there is somewhere you have always wanted to travel to. This week will be all about those places that are special to us - your challenge is to create a layout about your special place and link us to it by midnight on Saturday to be in with a chance of winning that awesome prize pack donated by Michelle.

Challenge 28 - Double Jeopardy

Well, its getting very exciting! Only 2 more weeks to go before the big Scrap Whisper reveal!

Challenge 28 is slightly unusual. We want you to split your page in two and create one layout but with 2 different sides to it. So for example - heaven and hell (white and angelic side v red and black side); sunshine and darkness; ying and yang; red and blue on one side, yellow and green on the other; maybe soccer or football team supporters; a little girl who loves all things barbie and pink but who also loves rock concerts or cars; different seasons; That kind of thing. We will leave it to you to be creative but here is a flavour from our DT to get you started:

Aww, I for one am sad that NSBD is over! What a great day, lots of challenges and I'm so thrilled so many of you enjoyed our special little "whisper". NSBD Blog Whisper

Firstly.. Happy National Scrapbooking Day! We hope that you have a fun filled, prize winning, scraptastic day! :~) There's a lot going on all over the internet to celebrate NSBD and we're also joining in the fun here at Scrap Whispers! Thanks for joining us!

How would you like to win this gorgeous new 12x12 paper collection from Crate Paper's Little Sprout Range?

Well, its easy! All you have to do is follow our blog whisper!

Its a blog hop / scavenger hunt along the lines of the traditional kids game "telephone" (or Chinese Whispers in the UK). Each member of our DT has created a project especially around our whisper theme and are posting it to their blogs today for you to enjoy. Depending on what time you join us you will have to bear with us, we're all over the world and have to post at different times. If you find a link isnt working, please come back later on in the day as we will iron out any bad links quickly! Its our first time for trying this and we're nervous to see if it works smoothly! :)

If you want to win this great prize you just have to follow the DT blogs in order. The first link is at the bottom of this post and you just need to follow the directions as you go.
