The Big Reveal - Team Six

Okay - last but not least we have Team Six's layouts:
Starting of course with this original layout:

Helen doodled in the border, added her journalling into strips, added some photo borders and jazzed up the edges of her patterned paper. She also placed her photo and paper at an angle.

Helens layout was passed to Rosey. She flipped the design and placed the photo on the opposite side of the page. She kept the scalloped edges and journalling strips and framed her photos with leaves.

Then it was Mary's turn. She put a landscape photo instead of a portrait one, changed seasons from Roseys Autumn colours to Mary's Summer! Kept a small scalloped edge, used 2 different fonts and journalled on a clipboard.

Then it was Noras turn. She went back to a portrait photo, added lots of swirls to the design, kept Mary's buttons on the frame of the photo and journalled in a bracket journalling spot.

Then it was Susan's turn. We change seasons again here back to Autumn and the photo flips back to landscape style too. Susan takes away all the journalling and instead puts a subtitle in the bracket journalling spot. She adds texture with lace and die cuts.

Then the layout was passed to Misty. Misty kept a landscape photo but gave it a smaller matting. She added a sparkly title and journalled in a bracket spot. She replaced the ribbon with a concertina of folded patterned paper and added small flowery embelishments.
Then finally it was Sarah's turn. She kept the landscape photo, went back to fun summer colours and added lots of swirls. She journalled using a journalling spot and added some scrunched up ribbon for texture. She enlarged the border of her photo mat slightly and used one font for her title!

So... there we have it. All of our teams layouts for this round of scrapwhispers. Well done to everyone on all teams you really have created some amazing layouts.
The winning team will be announced next week. In the meantime if you want to sign up for the next team game then email your details to gh26@sky.com The next round will be starting on 10th Jan 2010 so you have plenty of time to catch up after Christmas!
Check back tomorrow for some DT news and hang around in the forums too for some tutorials, chat and more!

Team Five - Big Reveal

Can you beleive it's finally the end of the latest scrapwhisper big reveals! Well I certainly can't! Check out what Team 5 did:

In case you have forgotten this is the original layout:

Karry changed the size, drew her own scalloped border, kept the 2 font title and the buttons, added her journalling in strips, tore her paper, made everything narrower and added a subtitle too!

Peggy kept the colours of Karry's layout, changed the doodling around the edge, kept the split title and journalling in strips, made it 12x12 size again, kept the torn paper and added dimension with inking and strips of patterned paper

Next up was Denni. She kept the general layout - splitting her title, using journalling strips adding some butterflies and some ribbon. She took away the doodling and scallops and only used one kind of paper for the matt behind the photo.

Then it was Gizzy's turn. She flipped the layout on its side, added the title on the side and increased the size of the circle embelishments. She journalled in strips underneath her photo

And finally was LG. She flipped the layout again, took away all the journalling, centered the layout, reintroducced scallops, added more photos and staggered them and brought back some butterflies, she took away the large circle embelishments and replaced them with flowers - lots of them!

The big reveal - Team Four

Team Four was huge this year with no less than 7 players! Lets see what they did with this layout:

Nilsa kept the scalloped edge, typed her journalling on a computer, used 2 different fonts for the title and kept the little date label on the side. She embelished with a cute princess dress.

Kimberly was up next and she continued with the soft pinks for her layout. She replaced the typed jounralling with printed words and phrases, kept the 2 font title and added buttons where the tab was. She also kept the placement of her embellishment. She lost the scalloped border

Marguerite switched things up a little mirroring the placement of the matting and turning the photo from portrait to landscape. She added a title in bling, and replaced the buttons with more bling. She embelished with flowers and reintroduced some scalloping. She kept with the pink theme.

Jennifer was next to play. She stayed true to Marguerites layout but added in more scalloped and a handdrawn border. Her colours were older but she kept that edge of pink in there. She moved her journalling to the bottom corner and placed her title in a square.

Then it was Amy's turn. Amy lost the scallops and pink and introduced blue and brackets! She added another photo and moved the photo matting up to the top of the layout. She journalled in a block of handwriting and placed her title in the bottom corner where the embellishments once were. She introduced rik rak too.

Then it was Karen's turn. Karen reintroduced the scalloped border, though this time the scallops were bigger. She kept the blue, moved the photo matting to the left slightly and instead of placing her 2 photos next to each other she adjusted them slightly. She replaced the handwritten journalling with a phrase and moved the title to sit above this.

Last up to play was Luiza. She flipped the layout again moving the concentration from the top left to the bottom right of the page. She added another photo and staggered them but kept a little scalloped border. She added 3 strips of paper and some flowers for embellishments and moved her title to the left, dropping it down the page. Instead of journalling she used words on journalling strips.

Wow! What a transformation!!
Great job team 4.
Come back next week to see Team's 5 and 6 plus a very special announcement!
Meanwhile, if you want to play along in the next team whisper game please email your name and email address to gh26@sky.com the game is open to international players and will start sometime in January 2010.

The Big Reveal - Team Three

Yeay! Another week has passed us by and it is now time for the Scrap Whispers Big Reveal Part 2!! This week we see layouts from teams 3 and 4. Starting with Team 3.....

Remember, this is the layout they started out with:

Telah kept to the layout of the page, she created lots of great journalling and varied the embellishments she used. She placed her title in an oval shape, kept the scalloped edges and used 2 different fonts:

Linda was up next. You can see, again she kept the scalloped edges, all the great journalling, the 2 font title in an oval and flowery embelishments.

Then it was Kelly's turn. She ditched the scallops, made the title bigger, placed her journalling in strips instead of a block and minimised the rectangle border around her photo. She kept the flowery embelishments.

Shannon was next and she mixed things up even more. She flipped the layout and placed the title down the side, She added circles for her journalling and a landscape photo.

After Shannon came Michaela's turn. She stayed true to Shannon's layout even using a similar colour pallete. She added some dimension with her lettering and kept the cute little embelishment on the frame of the photo.

And last but not least came Kris. She warmed things up again and created a summer layout. She flipped the photo border and extended it across the page, she added a bracket border and kept the title running down the side of the page. She still has 2 different fonts for her title and a cute embelishment to boot.

Great job team 3!!!

The Big Reveal - Team Two

Lets see what team 2 did with this layout Georgina gave them....

Sarah kept the general feel of the original layout, but journalled in strips instead of in a block. She kept the same photo placement and location of the embellishments and she also kept the 2 different fonts used in the title.

Sarah's layout was then passed to Lydia. Lydia shrunk the design and centred it on the page. She used bright colours as did the original layout and she used a jagged edge as well as the same lettering! Lydia flipped the placement of the papers but kept the photo placement and the journalling strips.

Lydias layout was then passed to Carey. Carey kept her layout centred, this time edging in a painted border. She went back to block journalling but kept the rest of the layout very similar. She also used 2 different fonts in her title.

Carey's layout was then passed to Kitty. Kitty again, kept to the feel of Careys layout. She kept the design centred and added the painted border. Her title used 2 different fonts but she made the border around her photo a little larger and added some texture with a bobbly ribbon.

Kittys layout was then passed onto Kathy. Kathy kept her layout centred, but omitted the painted border. She added a scallop around the photo and kept the journalling block. The embellishment placement remained the same but instead of adding a main title she used embellishments across the top of the layout to tell the story.

Kathys layout was then passed onto Kristin. Kristin added a photo, kept the scalloped border, moved the journalling block and added a title down the left hand side. She also moved her embellishment to the opposite side of the page and where Kathy had placed her title, Kristin made her own cute embellishments.

Then finally, Kristin's layout was passed to Leslie. Leslie returned to one photo but kept the scalloped border. She omitted the journalling block and opted for a large title across the bottom of the page instead. She had 2 different fonts in her title and added some fun smiley faces as her embellishments on the top corner.

Again, another set of wonderful layouts and its surprising how much they changed but still bear similarities to the original layout.
Next week - Teams 3 and 4 are revealled!

The Big Reveal - Team ONE

Well, Scrapwhisper Friends - I think you have waited enough! Time to reveal all- everyone has worked incredibly hard over the past 2 months to get to this point - lets take a look ....

This is the layout that all the DT leaders were given. This layout was created by Georgina.

Nancy was first to play and she kept true to the general design of the original. She used a patterned edge to her paper and continued with the paper blocking. Her title sat at the top of the page and her embellishment on the bottom right corner.

Nancy's layout was then passed to Maria. Maria opted for straight edges but kept to the general feel of Nancy's layout. She made her title bigger but kept the little date tab and embellishment placement.
Maria's layout was then passed to Michelle. Michelle continued to follow Marias layout tightly, including the title. As with Maria's layout, Michelle kept the ribbon swirls along with the embellishment placement and added dimension with some faux stitching.

Michelles layout was then passed onto Tracee. Tracee stired things up a little and flipped the design slightly, keeping the paper placement centred and smaller but with the same feel. She kept the portrait photo but added the title down the left hand side and a cute little scalloped border.
Tracee's layout was then passed to Sherri. Sherri extended the photo (adding 2) and paper placement across the page, kept the tab, added a subtitle and remained with pretty bling embellishments. Instead of a scalloped border she used the paper design to produce a similar effect.

Then finally, Sherri's layout was passed to Bibbitte. Bibbitte also used two photos, but enlarged the tab to be able to add journalling. Her border was amended to be straight, but continued with the circular feel. Instead of bling she added googly eyes!

And there we have team 1's layouts. I love how they have progressed so much and all the layouts are so cute! Girls you did a great job!
Team 2's layouts are following today so keep an eye out for them. Teams 3-6 will follow in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime if you would like to play in the next round of scrapwhispers please email your name and email address to gh26@sky.com
