Challenge 125 - Journalling

Of course, scrapbooking is all about the photos - showcasing them in a unique way to highlight a specific event, memory or just because moment!  I've noticed recently that some people are shying away from journalling too much on a page, perhaps because they hope to be published in a magazine, perhaps because they don't know what to say, perhaps even - the photo just say's it all.

Well, this weekend we would like to challenge you all to create a layout and include at least one paragraph of journalling.

You might choose to journal a paragraph in white pen for all to see (like Georgina did here: )

You might like to get your best writing pen out and journal across a couple of pages in a mini book - try highlighting some key words (like Nilsa has done here) to make them stand out!

Or maybe you don't really want your journalling on show for everyone to see - try hiding journalling on a tag behind a photo (Like Rosey has done here)

Or try folding it away in a little mini book on your page like Kelly has done here:

However you choose to journal on your layouts this weekend, be sure to have fun with it and record some memories!

Your challenge this week (should you choose to accept it!) is to scraplift this lovely layout by Kelly:

Challenge 122 - Colour Challenge

 Beige ~ Blue ~ Green

You join us on a sad day today.

All of the Scrapwhisper Design Team are members of an online scrapbooking community called Scrapjazz. Since 2006 part of our daily schedule is to visit the scrapjazz forum and chat with our online friends. Many have met in real life, true and longlasting friendships have been formed and we all share life's up and downs on a regular basis. Its a wonderful group of women who also share a love of scrapbooking!

We discovered today that one of the longest running members of the forum, Cathy passed away. Her sign on name was "Auntie Cathy" and she was truly a remarkable woman. Supportive, courageous, friendly, funny and simply a joy to know. She will be greatly missed in our scrapbooking community.

Cathy loved playing along with the Scrapwhisper challenges when she could and therefore today we would like to dedicate this challenge in the memory of our dear friend Cathy. May she rest in peace.

We would love for you to play along with this challenge in Cathy's memory and as such there will be no opportunity for a prize this week - simply do what we all love to do so much - what brings us together from across the world to create something special to each of us. Scrapbook a page with a blue, green and beige colour scheme and come back here to link us to your creations in the comments box.

Thank you.
